York Greenway Champions
York Greenway Champions exist to promote the biodiversity and amenity value of the Greenways in and around the historic city of York.
We are a charitable voluntary group based in York and founded in 2010
We work with local people, environmental and community groups to maintain verges, encourage the growth of native wild flowers and create pocket parks
What is a Greenway?
"A Greenway is a network of largely off-road routes connecting people to facilities and open spaces in and around towns, cities and the countryside. They are for use by people of all abilities on foot, bike or horseback, for commuting, play or leisure"
